This case study from Indonesia showcases a rural village in South Sulawesi which has used the Dana Desa (Village Fund) Programme to finance and manage its own internet network through community-centred planning and transparent local governance. This report provides practical insights into how the village was able to sustainably deliver internet services to its community and highlights the important role that local governments and communities can play in expanding internet access in underserved areas.
