ITU Forum on Smart Sustainable Cities, Abu Dhabi-UAE, 3-4 May 2015

​According to the Resolution 17 of the WTDC-14, related to the Regional Initiatives, The ITU Forum on "Smart and Sustainable Cities", to be organized by the Arab Regional Office of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in collaboration with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the United Arab Emirates. The Forum will be held in Abu Dhabi from 3 to 4 May 2015 and will be followed by the Last meeting of Focus Group on Smart and Sustainable Cities (Tuesday and Wednesday (Morning) 5-6 May 2015), and the First meeting of the new Question 20/5 of ITU-T Study Group 5 on Smart Sustainable Cities and Communities (Wednesday (afternoon) and Thursday 6-7 May 2015). 

This Forum aims to build awareness on using ICT in Smart and Sustainable Cities, focusing on the different roles of the stakeholders in this field. 
 

The Forum will discuss the following issues:
  • National Plans, Policies and Strategies on "Smart Sustainable Development"
  • Use of ICT for Smart and Sustainable Cities
  • Criteria and indicators for key performance of Smart and Sustainable Cities
  • Infrastructures of Smart and Sustainable Cities
  • Roadmap for Smart and Sustainable Cities
