Basic Security in the Field: Basic Training

Medical Form:
All appointments are subject to a satisfactory medical examination. The examining physician should complete this Medical Form and send it by express mail, together with a chest X-ray, blood test results, an electrocardiogram and the bill to:

The ITU will reimburse the employee for the expenses related to the medical examination upon presentation of the bills. Reimbursement is according to established ceilings which are regularly updated by the UN Medical Directors:
  1. US$ 450 for US and Japan
  2. US$ 400 for Europe
  3. US$ 350 for all other regions

Upon Arrival at ITU

When you arrive at ITU, you must make an appointment with a member of the Human Resources Administration team in accordance with the sector in which you will be working:

Please come with a hard copy of the following documents: a passport, a photograph, and a birth certificate for yourself and if applicable your dependent family members as well as a marriage certificate or "Livret de Famille" if applicable.

 

A "Carte de Légitimation" will be issued to you and your family upon arrival.

N.B. IN THE EVENT THAT YOUR FAMILY ARRIVES IN GENEVA ON A LATER DATE THAN YOURSELF, THEY WILL NEED A FAMILY REUNIFICATION VISA OTHERWISE KNOWN AS A "VISA DE REGROUPEMENT FAMILIAL." PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS THE TOURIST VISA.
