Casa Telmex celebrated Girls in ICT Day 2014 in several cities in Mexico. Visitors of 13 Casa Telmex all over the country were invited to participate at the Girls in ICT Day event.
The events entailed several activities and was a platform to share experiences. Director of Casa Telmex Tapachula in the State of Chiapas, Karla Faridi and Engineer Diana Tapia from Saltillo in the State of Coahuila attended through videoconference.
The Telmex Digital Classrooms that are located within the schools provided computer equipment at free of cost, including equipment for loan, educational software, access to internet, counseling and tutoring in an enviroment which promotes learning.
Casa Telmex are centers of educational innovation where the best practices of teaching and learning are evaluated and implemented just as found in the most advanced countries in the world.
Telmex promotes its Education and Digital Culture Program with initiatives that further the inclusion of society in Information Technologies with the goal to bring down the digital divide in Mexico.
