The Regional Regulatory Associations Meeting (RA-23) provides a unique platform for Regional Regulatory Associations to share experiences and knowledge, to discuss how they can collaborate, and to identify means to bring affordable, safe, secure, and trusted connectivity and online access and use to people in their respective regions.
The Regional Regulatory Associations Meeting was organized during the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR-23) in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, from 5 to 8 June 2023 in the Tonino Lamborghini Convention Center. The RA-23 Meeting was held on Monday 5 June 2023, from 9:30 to 11:00 (Room Redsea & Sinai).
The 2023 annual Regional Regulatory Associations (RA-23) meeting was chaired by Eng. Abdullah Almubadal, Deputy Governor, on behalf of H.E. Mr. Mohammed Al Tamimi, Governor, Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) of Saudi Arabia, and Chairman of the Arab Regulators Network of Telecommunications (AREGNET).
During the session, the
Digital Regulation Network (DRN) - The collaborative network of networks was launched by Dr Cosmas Zavazava, BDT Director. The objective of this new initiative is to accelerate sustainable digital transformation through common approaches to collaborative digital policy, regulation and governance across economic sectors and across borders. The Network is enabled by Regulatory Associations (RAs) at the regional and global level by leveraging South-South, North-South and triangular cooperation.
