Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online

warsawoldtown.jpgThe International Conference "Keeping Children and Young People Safe Online" will be  held in Warsaw, Poland on 20-21 September 2016.

The conference is organized by the Polish and German Safer Internet Centres, which have been working together within the European Commission's Safer Internet Program and will continue to cooperate within recently introduced Connecting Europe Facility Programme. The co-organizer of the conference is the International Telecommunication Union. The main partner of the event is the Orange Foundation.

The conference will be held within the framework of the ITU European Regional Initiative EUR4 – Building confidence and security  in the use of telecommunications/ICTs, adopted by WTDC-14, Dubai.

Addressing a broad spectrum of issues related to the safety of children and young people on the Internet and will address the representatives of the education sector, NGOs, the judiciary and law enforcement agencies and Internet content service providers, the conference aims to raise awareness about the new challenges and opportunities in fighting online threats as well as to popularize best practices across different sectors.
