Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, November 14, 2025 – In collaboration with the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan and the “Turkmentelekom” company, ITU experts conducted a training titled ‘Digital Transformation of Public Administration: From Digital Registries to AI Implementation’. The event was held as part of the International Exhibition “TurkmenTel-2025” and brought together representatives from government agencies, the IT sector, and students from technical universities of Turkmenistan.

ITU Regional Director for the CIS Region, Natalia Mochu, emphasized the importance of digital transformation for enhancing the efficiency and transparency of public administration, as well as the quality of life for citizens.

Participants explored the end-to-end evolution of digital transformation in the public sector: from its basic principles and key components of digital government (digital registries and IDs, interagency gateways, and the public services portal) to the implementation of advanced data management technologies, the data lake implementation, the creation of a national artificial intelligence platform, and its integration into the public administration system.
The event's speakers included experts from Kazakhstan and ITU:
