15th Regional Cyberdrill for Americas - Cyberdrill Pura Vida




ABOUT

The International Telecommunication Union through its Regional Office is organizing the training event “15th Regional Cyberdrill for Americas - Cyberdrill Pura Vida”.
The purpose of the training event - Cyberdrill is to enhance the communication and incident response capabilities of the participating teams as well as to ensure a continued collective effort in mitigating cyber threats among the region's national Computer Incident Response Teams. The Cyberdrill exercise is structured around various scenarios involving the most common types of cyberattacks while the sharing sessions, and provides a platform for cooperation and discussions on cybersecurity.
The event will be held in San Jose, Costa Rica from June 9 to 13, 2025, is co-organized by ITU and the Ministry of Science, Innovation, Technology and Telecommunications (MICITT) of Costa Rica and the Latin University of Costa Rica, who are also the hosts of the event.

PURPOSE

The event is open to technical officials and/or management level officials of national CIRT/CERT/SOC, cybersecurity agencies, national cybersecurity authorities, ministries, regulators, academia, and other stakeholders of ITU members, including Member States, Sector Members and NGOs.
The event will take place over five days and includes various technical sessions, discussions on the cybersecurity situation in Costa Rica, Central America and the Region of the Americas. The event will feature keynote speakers, specialized technical training and simulated scenarios aimed at incident management. Simulation scenarios and specialized technical training sessions have limited space; therefore, early registration is recommended.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Technical officials and/or management level officials of national CIRT/CERT/SOC, cybersecurity agencies, national cybersecurity authorities, ministries, regulators, academia, and other stakeholders of ITU Members, including Member States, Sector Members and NGOsfrom the administrations, Staff of telecommunication administrations, regulatory authorities, regional organizations, sector members and special guests from Americas' region: Argentina, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Bolivia (Plurinational State of), Brazil, Barbados, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia, Cuba, Belize, Dominican Rep., Dominica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Grenada, Haiti, Guyana, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Peru, Paraguay, Panama, Nicaragua, Saint Lucia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Suriname, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
