The technical workshop engaged with 40+ stakeholders from the national ecosystem – across different groups like finance, academia, private sector, public sector, youth, incubators, entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial support networks and civil society – to engage in a collaborative and co-creative process to understand the ecosystem and identify recommendations to unlock opportunities.
Engagement of these stakeholders of the national innovation ecosystem provided a unique opportunity for stakeholders to directly shape Mozambique’s innovation landscape, align strategies with national development goals, and foster a collaborative environment that supports digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and economic resilience. Their participation ensures that the Digital Innovation Profile is not only a comprehensive reflection of the ecosystem but also a practical roadmap for future innovation initiatives.
The technical workshop served as a dual-purpose platform: not only as an opportunity to evaluate the ecosystem and be involved in the process of coming up with relevant strategies and recommendations to expedite innovation in the country, but also as a capacity-building initiative for stakeholders. It offered a chance for representatives to acquire valuable skills in participating and contributing to their ecosystem.
