International Girls in ICT Day was celebrated in the Sultanate of Oman on 2nd of May 2012 during the Annual IT, Telecom and Technology Exhibition – Comex 2012 (30th  April-  4th May) in Muscat by the Ministry of Education of Oman.

The day started with an awareness-raising session to introduce the girls to the possibilities offered by the ICT sector and the career choices that could be made. the girls were then invited to take part into a tour of the Annual IT, Telecom and Technology Exhibition – Comex 2012, followed by a robot show (see video). in addition to this, an ICt competition was held as well as ICT workshops.
