11th annual WSIS Prizes: Meet the 2022 winners

For the past decade, the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum has shone a spotlight on information and communication technology (ICT) success stories from around the globe.

The annual WSIS Prizes aim to highlight examples of sustainable ICT applications and use cases that communities anywhere in the world can replicate.

Projects are selected based on how well they demonstrate the ability of ICTs to accelerate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The award categories, aligned with official WSIS “action lines”, range from ICT infrastructure to education to e-government and security.

1. The role of governments and all stakeholders in the promotion of ICTs for development – Meghalaya Enterprise Architecture Implementation, Planning Department of the State of Meghalaya, India

The WSIS Prizes are an integral part of the WSIS Stocktaking process, coordinated by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as mandated by the United Nations General Assembly since 2004.
