What is Digitization Day 2012?
Digitization Day 2012 has been organized by ITU as a one-day conference on digitization projects and best practices for librarians, archivists, and information professionals. This information-sharing event focused on digitization projects currently in process or completed. It was an opportunity to hear about the who, what, when, why and how of a variety of library and archives projects and to learn about digitization practices and procedures. For this conference, “digitization” refers to the conversion of paper-based materials into digital formats using scanning equipment.
