The ITU Geneva Premises

The Geneva ITU premises comprise three interlinked buildings: Montbrillant (M), the Tower (T) and Varembé (V). Office numbers in the three buildings begin with M, T and V, respectively.

Registration and Identification Badges

Unless otherwise specified in the meeting invitation letter, the registration desk is located in the entrance of the ITU Montbrillant (M) building at 2 rue de Varembé, Geneva.
A registration confirmation email, together with an official photo identification, must be presented at the registration desk to be issued a meeting participant badge. This photo identification badge must be worn at all times while on ITU premises.

Meeting Schedule

Meeting schedules are on permanent display and regularly updated on the ITU electronic notice board.
Participants are urged to keep themselves regularly informed of the dates and place of meetings by consulting the electronic notice board or the online meeting schedule.

Duty Free Shop and Petrol Card


Public Transportation

There are several bus/tram stops in the vicinity of the ITU (tram 15 and bus lines 5, 22, F, V, Z). Geneva´s public transport system is operated by the Transports publics genevois (TPG)
Anyone arriving at Geneva Airport can obtain a free ticket (for immediate use) for 80 minutes travel on the Geneva transport system. The ticket machine is located just before the customs control area.
If you are staying at a hotel, the establishment will offer you the Geneva Transport Card  that allows you to use public transport in Geneva free of charge during your stay. 


A post office is situated at Rue de Varembé 15, next to the CICG entrance.

0800-1200 / 1400-18h00 (Mon-Fri)
0830-1130 (Saturday)


Parking restrictions are in force for the streets adjacent to the CICG and the ITU. Visitors are advised to respect these restrictions, particularly in the area adjacent to the CICG main entrance. A limited number of parking cards are available only for those participants attending meetings being held in the CICG.

The American Express Travel Agency (ground floor of the ITU Tower), extensions 5168 and 5170, is available to arrange excursions, hotel reservations and other services.

Social and Medical Services

The ITU Staff Counseling Service is available to provide assistance to meeting participants for matters of a personal or urgent nature. The Service is situated in Office T062 of the ITU Tower (T) building, extension 5380.
The services of a nurse are available to participants from 0845 - 1230 and 1400 - 1730 hours. The medical service is on the ground floor of the ITU Varembé (V) building (Office V16 - extension: 5397).
Between 1230 and 1400 hours, in case of an emergency, participants may contact the Security Service, extension 119.
After 1730 hours, you may go to the "Permanence Médicale" 9A, rue de Vermont, which is open 24 hours, 7 days a week (Tel.: 022 734 5150).

A bank is situated across the street from the ITU Tower entrance. Currency exchanges and other services are available from Monday to Friday, 0830 - 1630 hours (without interruption).




A self-service cafeteria is situated between the ITU Varembé (V) and Montbrillant (M) buildings. Restaurant Le Satellite is  located on the 15th floor of the Tower (T) building.
