Fellowships for ITU-R events

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ Fellowship eligibility 

 

To encourage participation of developing countries​ and subject to availability of funds, one full, or two partial fellowships may be granted per eligible Member States for certain ITU-R events. 

For some regional ITU-R events, fellowships may only be offered to delegates representing Member States of a specific region. 

Member States are encouraged to select their candidates taking into consideration the inclusion of persons with disabilities and persons with specific needs, bearing in mind gender balance. Read more on ITU policy for awarding fellowships​.​​


How to submit a fellowship request

    1. Register to the event.  
    2. Obtain the approval of your registration request by the to the corresponding Designated Focal Point (DFP) for ITU-R event registration​
    3. Fill out/validate the fellowship application form (see below).
    4. Submit the complete ​fellowship application form (see deadline below) ​to t​he ​ITU Fellowship Service at fellowships@itu.int or by fax to +41 22 730 5778.  Forms received after the deadline will not be considered.

NOTES:​

1.  A full fellowship includes one (1) return economy class air ticket by the most direct/economical route from the country of origin to the location of the event, as well as a daily allowance to cover accommodation, meals and incidental expenses. Member States shall cover the remainder of the cost of the participation. ​
2.  A partial fellowship includes one (1) return economy class ticket by the most direct/economical route from the country of origin to the location of the event OR daily allowance to cover accommodation, meals and incidental expenses. Member States shall cover the remainder of the cost of the participation.
