Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Affairs of the Republic of Poland, is organizing an Expert Group Meeting on Mobile ID (mID) within the framework of the ITU Regional Initiative for Europe on Innovation adopted by the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-14). The meeting will take place in Warsaw, Poland, from 18 to 19 October 2016.
The aim of the expert group meeting will be to share ideas about innovative mobile identity solutions and share experience about past and current implementation efforts. It will also provide guidelines for creating a successful national awareness and information campaign.
The meeting will result with the input to generic guidelines for countries, which would be interested in implementing mlD at the national level.
