The workshop is designed to work on ICT infrastructure mapping, analysis and planning. It aims to improve the theoretical and practical skills of the participants in collecting ICT infrastructure data, identifying underserved areas, applying GIS tools and using telecommunication technology models to test and compare selected connectivity scenarios. The objective is to equip the participants with knowledge of using GIS to make informed decisions on ICT infrastructure development based on available data.​

Target audience: technical specialists, engineers, planners, analysts, specialists in the development and evaluation of telecommunications infrastructure development.

The event is supported by the joint ITU-Korea Ministry of Science and ICT project “Broadband for the Unconnected”, which aims to support ITU Member States in developing reliable and sustainable telecommunications infrastructure.​
