ITU is committed to supporting its Members' efforts to implement ICT accessibility policies and strategies worldwide, ensuring that digital skills are promoted to include everyone equally and equitably in the digital society.

In 2022, the World Telecommunication Development Conference for the period 2023-2025 endorsed the CIS RI4: Digital skills and information and communication technology accessibility for the public, in particular for persons with disabilities. To provide assistance to ITU Member States of the region in formulating recommendations for the development of the public's digital skills, paying particular attention to persons with disabilities.

The regional roundtable is scheduled to coincide with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3) and is aimed to facilitate the sharing of experiences, trends, and results related to shaping digital accessibility for people with disabilities in the CIS Region.

We invite representatives from relevant ministries and agencies, the expert community, training centers, and international organizations to participate.

The roundtable will be held in a hybrid format, taking place in the office of the ITU Regional Office for CIS with the option for virtual participation via Zoom connection. Registration is required to participate in the event.
