10:20-12:00 Session 1: Implementation of the CIS Regional Initiatives approved by WTDC-17
 
In the first session ITU Regional Office will present update on the WTDC-17 Regional Initiatives implementation, including projects and activities within BDT Operational Plan. Main focus will be made on presentations by ITU Member-States and partners, in which they will share information on projects, technical assistance and events done jointly with the ITU in 2018-2020.

Telecommunication Development Bureau representatives will present information on overall approaches to implementation of projects within WTDC-17 RIs, will describe existing funding mechanisms available for the ITU projects and partnership and resource mobilization.

Based on the progress made, ITU Regional Office together with RDF-CIS participants will discuss objectives and activities for 2021 to further contribute to implementation of all five WTDC-17 RIs.

10:00-12:15 Session 2: Vision 2025 – Digital/ICT development priorities of the CIS countries
 
In the second session ITU Regional Office will present its studies on five major areas of ITU activities in the region. These studies are aimed to help ITU Member-States to prepare WTDC-21 proposals and make BDT Operational Plan in the region more focused. This session will also feature presentations about the main outputs of ITU-D Study Groups and planning for future studies. 

RDF-CIS participants will be invited to prioritize concrete work items within each major area of work though online polls and also share reflections on the presentations and reports.

In the third session Telecommunication Development Bureau will present information on the vision and next steps towards WTDC-21, including preparation issues discussed by Telecommunication Development Advisory Group. 

Key outcome of this session and entire RDF-CIS will be interventions by the ITU Member-States in which they will be invited to share national priorities and make proposals on the ITU activities in the CIS Region.
