Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of
the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) at the kind invitation of the Republic
of Indonesia’s National Cyber and Crypto Agency and Ministry of Communication
and Informatics is organizing “Regional
Capacity Building Workshop on National Cyber Security Strategy” to be held
in Sari Pacific Hotel, Jakarta,
Indonesia, from 26
– 28 August, 2019.
Objective
This capacity building is being organized within
the framework of the fifth ITU Regional Initiative for Asia-Pacific region
“Contributing to a secure and resilient environment” adopted by the World
Telecommunication Development Conference 2017 (WTDC-17) in Buenos Aires.
Target Population
The capacity building is targeted towards participants from Ministries, policy
makers (parliamentarians), individuals in the judiciary system, regulatory
bodies, national security agencies, military establishment (the units in charge
of information security and/or IT and ICT management), law enforcement
agencies, critical infrastructure providers (water, energy, transport, etc.), central
monetary agency and banks, telco’s and ISPs, and academia. National research
bodies and local industry (private sector) involved in security initiatives can
also benefit from this workshop.
Notes
The workshop is offered free of charge. However, participants need to pay for their travel and lodging.
