
International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the State Radio Monitoring Centre (SRMC), MIIT, China (ITU Center of Excellence node for Spectrum Management in Asia-Pacifc) are organizing a training program on "Spectrum Monitoring", from 4 to 12 August 2015 in Beijing, China.
This program has been developed as part of the Spectrum Management theme within the framework of the ITU Centres of Excellence for the Asia-Pacific Region and will take place at the state Monitoring facility managed by SRMC in Beijing, China. The course is designed to address technical staff from Policy makers, Regulators, Corporate executives and managers, i.e. middle-level managers, administrators and officials etc. and covers both theoretical and practical issues related to Spectrum Monitoring.
The training aims to provide an empowering learning environment through a combination of lectures and visits to the manufacturers and operators in order to share information with the participants in-line with following objactives :

Understand the process and approaches to national spectrum monitoring issues.

Identify, evaluate and select the appropriate technologies to establish and operate national spectrum monitoring network.

Understand the appropriate principles and policies of an effective management of radio transmission equipment.

Understand the procedures of spectrum monitoring activities in major events and special events.

Number of Participants: As the course envisages active contribution of participants and includes planned site visits to operational terrestrial and space Radio Frequency monitoring facilities, therefore the total
number of participants from outside china has been limited to 30.

Course Fees and Language: The course would be conducted in English and is offered free of charge.

Logistics: The travel arrangements, accommodation etc. should be made and borne by the participating administration or participants directly. The host SRMC have made arrangements for accommodation which can be availed at the rate of $ 40 USD per night.
