Peter Walop

Peter Walop has over 20 years of experience in the broadcast and telecom markets.

As an ITU expert, Peter assisted African and Asian countries in migrating from analogue to digital broadcasting. Peter is co-author of the ITU “Guidelines for the Transition from Analogue to Digital Broadcasting”. Peter also contributed to the ITU’s report on the Digital Dividend. Peter previously worked for Nozema, the Dutch broadcast network operator, and as a member of the management team he launched digital and mobile television as well as wireless internet services in the Netherlands.

In the past he worked for Hewlett Packard, Coopers & Lybrand Management Consultants and Accenture in the broadcast and telecom industry across Europe.

Peter holds two Master degrees in Business Informatics and Organisational Theory as well as a Bachelor degree in Production Engineering.

Jan Doeven

Jan Doeven has over 40 years’ experience in leading positions in frequency management, broadcast network planning and introduction of new broadcasting services and technologies.    

Since the early nineties, he has been deeply involved, nationally and internationally, in planning and implementation of digital broadcasting networks. He participated in many international working groups and held chairmanships in EBU, CEPT and ITU committees, including chairman of the European preparatory group for the ITU Conference to establish the Geneva 2006 Agreement (RRC-06) and vice chairman of ITU RRC-06.

As ITU-expert, Jan co-authored the ITU “Guidelines for the Transition from Analogue to Digital Broadcasting”, was the author of the ITU report “ Trends in broadcasting” and assisted African and Asian countries in migrating from analogue to digital broadcasting.

Jan holds a bachelor degree in electrical engineering.
