ABOUT

The training is part of activities organized by ITU in support of the countries of the region and is motivated by the growing importance of convergence and next-generation networks that require strategic decisions in terms of policy, regulation and operational levels. Moreover the economic valuation of radio spectrum is an issue which remains valid in all countries given the strategic value thereof, and the impact it has on the development of telecommunications in the countries, as an essential resource for operators.

The events was conducted in Spanish only.

PURPOSE

Share up-to-date information with and among Spanish-speaking countries of the Americas region in relation to techniques for setting costs and prices for new generation networks and quadruple play environments. It also seeked to provide guidance on policy and economic issues related to the allocation and use of radio spectrum, allowing regulators, decision makers and operators to use spectrum in an optimal and efficient manner.
