Dates: 1st-5th October 2018: Interactive protection simulation during African Internet Summit

Objective: enhance the communication and incident response capabilities of the participating teams as well as to ensure a continued collective effort in mitigating cyber threats among the Region’s national Computer Incident Response Teams (CIRTs) and experts.

Number of Participants: more than 100 participants from 12 countries: Benin(1), Burkina Faso(3), Cameroon(3), Chad(2),Cote d’Ivoire (more than 80), Congo DR (1), Ethiopia(3), Gambia(3), Kenya (1), Madagascar(1), , Niger (3), Nigeria(1), Senegal (1), Togo (3).

Results /Impact: in collaboration with partners, the main result of the workshop was to enhance the capacity of the more than 45 participants on cyber threat information sharing and Cyber incident response capability of more than 100 participants including 4 national computer incident response teams. The workshop also served to promote the collaboration and cooperation between the country experts.
