Capacity Building for the Judicial Sector in Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

This initiative will provide an opportunity to strengthen capacity and develop skills to integrate emerging technologies in the judicial sector and advance digital transformation for sustainable development in Ethiopia and contribute to its broader digital transformation.

The training will provide a platform for the focus group to exchange their experiences and learn from each other within the framework of the proposed themes. This approach will allow for continued sharing of knowledge not only within the focus group to ensure strengthening of capacity at national level and for sustainability.

The training will be delivered virtually over a period of three days from 20th to 22nd May and the themes that will be cov​​ered include:

   Day 1: Emerging technologies, platforms and legal imperatives in the context of Ethiopia.
               Data Protection

    Day 2: Digital Contracting Electronic signatures

    Day 3: Cybercrime Electronic evidence

Expected Results:

• ​​This initiative aims to strengthen the collaborative efforts to build capacity in the judicial sector and foster the adoption and integration of emerging technologies in Ethiopia. 
• Increased awareness creation and application of the emerging technologies in the judicial sector based on the current needs and opportunities tailored to the context of Ethiopia. 
• A common platform established to facilitate continuous learning and knowledge share to advance digital transformation. ​ ​
