Passports and entry visa
A valid passport and a visa are required to enter Egypt. All participants are requested to send a copy of their passport together with the Registration Confirmation message from ITU to the Egyptian Embassy or Consulate in their country of origin or residence in order to obtain a visa.
Participants who are nationals of countries where there is no Egyptian representation should contact
visagsr16@tra.gov.eg for the special arrangements that have been made by the host country to facilitate the delivery of visas or entry permits, as required.

Accommodation
Special rates have been negotiated with different hotels close to the event venue for GSR-16 participants. Some of these official hotels are within a five-kilometer range of the Maritim Jolie Ville International Congress Center, and are also a short distance from Sharm el-Sheikh Airport.
Participants should book their own accommodation directly with the contact person mentioned in the list of official hotels available here and must copy the National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) at
hotelsgsr16@tra.gov.eg when making their booking.

Transportation
Transport to and from the airport, as well as between the event venue and the official hotels, and to all social events and back to the official hotels will be provided by the host country to all participants.
It is very important that participants send their exact arrival and departure information, and the name of the hotel where they will be staying to:

The National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) will be receiving all the participants at Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport. There will be a GSR-16 General Information Desk inside the airport from where participants will be taken to their own hotels.
For participants who need to transit through Cairo International Airport, the host country will also provide assistance at a GSR-16 General Information Desk to facilitate their transfer.
