This strategic foresight research brief explores the evolving landscape of education, examining how digital technologies, shifting skills demands, and demographic and policy pressures will reshape how people learn in classrooms. Taking a global view with particular attention to developing countries, the study applies ITU’s strategic foresight methodology to identify key drivers of change, emerging risks, and strategic opportunities for governments, education providers, technology developers and learners.
The foresight brief series is a collection of research reports designed to help ITU Members navigate the uncertainties of an increasingly digital future. It is being developed by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance for Digital Development (the Alliance) under the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau.
