6-7 September: International Forum on Intelligent Transport Systems
Connected vehicles and automated driving are fast moving onto public roads, holding great promise to improve road safety, decrease congestion and emissions, and increase the accessibility of personal mobility.
The International Forum on Intelligent Transport Systems in Nanjing, China, 6-7 September 2018, will bring together the automotive and ICT industries to discuss the latest advances in connected, automated driving and associated implications for business, technology and regulation.
The forum is co-organized by ITU and the ITS Industry Alliance of China (C-ITS). Participation is free of charge and open to all.
The forum will explore the evolution of the ITS industry and that of related policy debate. In focus will be vehicle connectivity, automation, electrification, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and data protection, and infrastructure innovation in smart cities.

Industry’s view will be presented by companies including Bosch, GM, Honda, Huawei, Intel, ZTE and research platform Wireless World Research Forum. Insight into international collaboration will be shared by organizations such as ITU, C-ITS and UNESCAP. National views will be offered by China, Egypt, Germany, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands and U.S.
Innovations in V2X communications and automated driving will be on show in demonstrations provided by C-ITS, Genvict, NIO and GM.

The forum will be followed by a meeting of the Collaboration on ITS Communication Standards at the same venue on the afternoon of 7 September 2018. The Collaboration is an open international platform to advance the development of a globally harmonized set of ITS communication standards.
