This report focuses on the key Internet interconnection issues at national and international levels, as well as the stakeholder and their characteristics in the Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) region. It also describes the role of Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) and Network Access Points (NAPs) and their importance in the development of broadband, as well as the significant role of the backbones.
