The GEM-TECH Awards provide a platform for advancing women’s meaningful engagement with ICTs and their role as decision-makers and producers in the technology sector.

The only international prizes of their kind, GEM-TECH Awards were celebrated in Busan, Republic of Korea in 2014 and in New York, USA in 2015.

ITU Telecom World is the international tech event for public and private sector leaders in ICT, bringing together governments, corporates and SMEs from around the world to exhibit innovative solutions, debate the key issues shaping the industry and network across the digital community. The GEM-TECH Awards will host Forum sessions at ITU Telecom World 2016  exploring new opportunities to bridge the digital divide worldwide to achieve gender equality and the empowerment of women.
