Introduction

This session marks the opening of a four-part virtual series “Connectivity Planning Platform: Charting Pathways to Connectivity" designed to strengthen institutional capacity for achieving universal, meaningful, and sustainable connectivity through data-driven planning approaches.

This first webinar will focus on how to transform data into clear and actionable visual insights, supporting more informed decision-making in national connectivity planning. It forms part of a progressive information journey that will guide participants through key dimensions of connectivity planning, including technology assessment, sustainability modelling, and the operationalization of strategies.

The session is tailored for policymakers, regulators, development partners, and technical experts seeking to enhance their ability to translate data into practical actions for broadband development and investment. It contributes directly to the implementation of the Baku Action Plan by promoting evidence-based policymaking, strengthening planning capabilities, and supporting the acceleration of connectivity deployment in underserved and unserved areas.

Connectivity Planning Platform

CPP is a data-driven tool that supports governments, regulators, operators, and partners with evidence-based decisions through integrated data, dynamic modelling, and actionable insights for broadband and last-mile planning.

The platform evaluates technology options like fibre, cellular networks, microwave, and satellite to identify the best ways to connect unserved areas.

The platform is in beta and in testing.
