The Scientific and Practical Conference "Digital Transformation, AI and Cybersecurity: Shaping a Trusted Digital Future" was held on 17–18 June 2026 in Istanbul, Türkiye.
The conference was organized by the ITU Academia Member, the State University of Information and Communication Technologies (SUICT, Ukraine), jointly with Istanbul Atlas University (Türkiye) and Morgan State University (United States), with the support of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in the context of the ITU Regional Roadmap for the implementation of the Regional Initiatives for Europe and ITU Council Resolution 1408 on Ukraine. The outcomes of the conference will be submitted to the ITU-D Study Groups.
Over two days, the conference brought together scientific community, participants from different countries, representing academia, government, regulatory authorities, the private sector and international organizations. The programme combined a high-level opening session with scientific section, providing a platform for the presentation of research findings and the identification of avenues for joint academic and applied work in topics like:

- “Shaping Global ICT: Strategic Opportunities for Academic Excellence at ITU"
- “Digital Transformation, AI and Cybersecurity: Current Trends and Challenges"
- “Driving Digital Resilience in a Connected World: ITU Europe's Regional Approach"
- “Digital Transformation, AI and Cybersecurity: Research, Innovations and Applications"
The opening session brought together senior representatives of the ITU Office for Europe, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Atlas University, and the State University of Information and Communication Technologies of Ukraine.
The conference continued the international scientific dialogue initiated at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Digital Transformation: Strengthening Cybersecurity Capacities in the Modern World", held on 4–5 November 2025 in Kraków, Poland.
