Web_National_Workshop_EMF_levels_Rome.jpgThe expert meeting on Electromagnetic Field Level and 5G Roll-out will be held in Rome, Italy, from 2 to 3 November 2017. This meeting is organized by the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development of Italy,  within the framework of the ITU Regional Initiative for Europe on Development of Broadband Access and Adoption of Broadband, adopted by the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2014 (WTDC-14), Dubai, and in follow up to the Regional Seminar on Spectrum Management and Broadcasting held on 29-30 May 2017 in Rome where one of the outcomes was to collect case studies of countries and assist them in the adoption of policies and legislations that do not negatively affect the rollout of mobile broadband networks, in particular 5G networks.

The expert meeting aims at generating an exchange of views and experiences to identify current practices and proposed future collaborative actions in addressing Electromagnetic Field (EMF) levels without slowing down 5G deployment.  The meeting will bring together stakeholders to present country cases as well as specialized actors to present perspectives such as the health, environmental and technological issues.

To derive utmost benefit out of the meeting by researching ahead and focusing on relevant issues, we kindly request you to complete the pre-meeting questionnaire to be submitted before 25 October 2017 by email to EURregion@itu.int
