ITU-EMERG-EaPeReg Digital Transformation Regulation Training Initiative

Aligned with the aspiration of bridging the digital regulatory gap, the ITU-EMERG-EaPeReg Digital Transformation Regulation Training will take place virtually from 10 April to 30 May 2024. This training, co-organized by ITU, EMERG and EaPeReg, aims to deepen understanding of digital regulation strategies, evidence-based decision-making, and the latest in regulatory developments. It's designed for staff from regulatory associations, ICT policymakers, and regulatory bodies globally.

Participants will engage with the course content once a week through two-hour online sessions. The training will cover digital transformation strategies, regulatory governance, the creation of competitive digital markets, and the protection of users. Registration is open to those currently employed within regulatory or ICT sectors who are familiar with the policy environment. The deadline for signing up is tentatively set for 1 April 2024.

The training method includes self-study, interactive online sessions, and forums. A final quiz assesses the knowledge gained, and participants who score over 70% will receive an ITU Certificate. Weekly sessions will explore topics like regulatory frameworks, innovative regulation approaches, and transformative technologies, among others.
