This Workshop is addressed to representatives of ministries, regulators, telecom operators, universities and general education institutions, telecommunication equipment manufacturers, research and design institutes, software developers and other interested stakeholders of the ITU Member States, Sector Members and Associates from CIS. The Workshop is aimed at discussing the following questions:
- Global trends in broadband strategy and policy, including ITU activities
- Selecting appropriate technology of broadband deployment in rural and remote areas
- Technical, organizational and economic aspects of broadband networks design and implementation
- Modern broadband technologies
