
| Rury is a Junior Project Officer at the ITU Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific and is based at the ITU Area Office in Jakarta, Indonesia. Under the guidance of the Regional Director of the ITU Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, she is providing assistance and support in the implementation and management of the Asia-Pacific Regional Initiatives 2020-2021 project funded by the Australian Government.

She is responsible to coordinate and explore partnerships with UN agencies, ITU members, private sector, and academia for the implementation of the project as well as contributes to the implementation of project activities related to digital inclusion, in particular the ones related to narrowing the gender digital divide and empowerment of women in the region including Girls in ICT, EQUALS, and Network of Women for WTDC.
Apart from that, she is assigned as a media focal point in the Regional Office in close coordination with the ITU BDT Communications team of the ITU headquarters in Geneva and contributes to the promotion of activities and impacts online as well as during partnership and UN meetings.
She was previously joined at the ITU to support Girls in ICT team to the organization of the International Girls in ICT Day 2020 as a Digital Inclusion Junior Officer in the efforts to encourage girls and young women around the world to pursue academic and professional careers in STEM, particularly ICTs as well as to support the efforts of the ITU Development Gender Strategy activity to close the gender digital divide.
Prior to joining the ITU, she was a public relations and business analyst in one of digital start-ups in Indonesia focused on the development of rural communities and was a public relations and government relations analyst in a national oil and gas company that worked closely with the National Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities. Rury was a news anchor on several national tv stations from 2014 to 2017 and an MBA graduate from the Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in 2016.
