With 15 years of experience in the ICT sector, Kari Ballot-Lena’s expertise covers a wide range of traditional telecommunications regulatory matters and emerging digital policy issues across the globe. In addition to market access issues at both the domestic and international levels, such as licensing, regulatory compliance, and technological convergence, Ms. Ballot-Lena’s concentrations extend to emerging digital platform issues and evolving regulatory frameworks regarding authorization, competition, and consumer protection. She advises and conducts trainings for national governments and international organizations worldwide on ICT and digital frameworks, emphasizing policies that best promote competition, collaboration, and the development of the digital economy. Ms. Ballot-Lena obtained her law degree at George Mason University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
