Matthew N. Dailey received the B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from North Carolina State University and the Ph.D. in Computer Science and Cognitive Science from the University of California, San Diego. He spent two years as a Research Scientist with Vision Robotics Corporation of San Diego, CA USA and two years as a Lecturer in the Computer Science and Information Technology programs at Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, Thammasat University, Thailand. In 2006, he joined the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, where he is now a Professor in the Department of Information and Communication Technologies and the Director of the AIT Artificial Intelligence Center. He has served as a technical or scientific consultant to numerous technology companies in the U.S. and Thailand. His research focuses on machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and robotics. He is a co-founder of the AIT Artificial Intelligence Center, whose mission is to translate AI innovations into workable solutions to problems faced on the ground in Asia and throughout the developing world. |
