Pacific Media Partnership Conference 2017

The  Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) organized the Pacific Media Partnership Conference (PMPC) 2017, which hold on 15-17th August 2017 at Honiara, Solomon Islands.  The conference hosted by Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corportaion (SIBC) with support from the Department of Communications and the Arts of Australian Government.

The Pacific Media Partnership Conference provided a platform for the broadcasters in the Pacific to share knowledge and expertise to improve and promote broadcasting in the region. The theme for the event is Televsion: Islanders on Screen. The conference preceded by several workshops and meetings of interest to the Pacific Regulators and Broadcasters. The PMPC-2017 focused on how broadcasters continued to offer broadcast services by augmenting public free-to-air broadcasting.

ITU provided a partial fellowship (either round-trip air ticket or daily subsistence allowance) per eligible ITU-member country in the Pacific. Fellowship application form is available at the website aforementioned. The completed fellowship form must be submitted before 21 July 2017.
