Within the implementation of the objectives and expected results of the ITU Arab Regional Initiative on "Environment and Climate Change and Emergency Telecommunications", ITU Arab Regional Office is currently developing a Model Policy, Regulatory Frameworks and Assessments Guidelines on Human exposure to Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) and Specific Absorption Ratio (SAR) in the Arab Region.
This model aims to help the Arab countries in developing/updating their policy, regulatory frameworks and assessments guidelines on Human exposure to EMF and SAR.
In order to involve all stakeholders concerned with Human exposure to EMF and the allowed limits for the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) due to radio systems and mobile equipment in the Arab region as well as policy-makers to engineers, radio stations designers, smart city planners, government officials, regulators, standards experts, academia and others, the Office has prepared a survey questionnaire to collect some information and data that will be analyzed in order to contribute to the preparation of the Model Policy, Regulatory Frameworks and Assessments Guidelines on Human exposure to EMF and SAR in the Arab Region.
We invite you to fill out this questionnaire and to extend this invitation to the convenient local stakeholders (ministries and other government agencies or private sector companies, national scientific research centres, or academia working in the field of ICTs and environments, human exposure to EMF and SAR) to participate in this survey to maximize the study sources that rely on the information contained therein to reflect the real situation in the Arab region, noting that the deadline for reply is 1 July 2019.
For more information about this study and the questionnaire, please contact Eng. Mustafa Al Mahdi, Programme Administrator at ITU ARO, E-mail (Mustafa-Ahmed.Al-Mahdi@itu.int) and Mr. Rakesh Kumar Bhatnagar, Senior ITU EMF Consultant at Email (bhatnagarrk@gmail.com).
