ITU Regional Training Courses on Certified Security Engineer for IPv6 (CSE6) Silver and Gold-levels for Arab Region, Khartoum-Sudan, 11-15 June 2023

​ITU Arab regional Office in collaboration with the Telecommunications and Post Regulatory Authority of Sudan (TPRA) will organize the ITU Regional Training Courses on Certified Security Engineer for IPv6 (CSE6) Silver and Gold-levels for Arab region in Khartoum-Sudan, 11 to 15 June 2023. The training courses are being implemented as part of the activities of the ITU's regional IPv6 and IoT Expertise Centre for Arab Region. The training courses will be back-to-back 3 days for CSE6 Silver level + 2 days for CSE6 Gold level. Both events will be delivered in Arabic and English and are free of charge.

The CSE6 Silver and Gold courses is advanced level training program for IPv6 Security. These courses are designed to provide in-depth knowledge on IPv6 Security issues, features and attacks, threat against Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), IPv6 firewall configuration and policies.

​​By the end of these training courses, the participants will acquire the following knowledges and skills: 

  • IPv6 addressing architecture
  • Security advantages of IPv6 over IPv4
  • General security concepts
  • Encryption and secret key cryptography
  • Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and Universal Threat Mitigation (UTM)
  • IPv6 Intrusion Protection System (IPS)
  • Rules for Security Policy.
  • Security in Mobile IPv6.
  • Firewall basics with IP tables.
  • Hands-on Labs on Server installation and configuration as well as middle attack and setting-up and testing IPv6 firewall. ​​ 

The CSE6 Silver and Gold levels are designed for Network/Security Architect, IT administrators, Network/IT support technicians, and decision makers for IT Security. 

To attend the CSE6 Silver level course, you should have passed the (Certified Network Engineer IPv6 (CNE6)). In addition, candidates should have a good knowledge of general network security concepts and knowledge in IPv4 security, as well as knowledge of computer fundamentals.

To attend the CSE6 Gold course, participants should have passed the CSE6 Silver certification. In addition, candidates should have a good knowledge of general network security concepts, as well as knowledge of IPv4 security.
