Accessible Arab Region: ICT for ALL – 2023 was the main regional platform organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and kindly hosted by the Agence de Developpement du Digital (ADD) of Morocco. It took place in Rabat, Morocco from 28 to 30 November 2023.
Accessible Arab Region: ICT for ALL – 2023 aimed to strengthen the knowledge of the ITU members and relevant stakeholders on policy and strategies of digital inclusion. It facilitated the exchange of good practices to ensure the accessibility of telecommunication and ICT products and services for all, regardless of age, gender, ability, or location. The goal was to empower everyone, including persons with disabilities, girls, women, older persons, youth and children, in order to ensure that all will benefit from ICT opportunities. The event provided a platform for participants to share experiences and knowledge about ICT accessibility projects and initiatives from the Arab region promoting networking among them.
Accessible Arab Region: ICT for ALL – 2023 was conducted in Arabic, English and French, and it included local sign language interpretation. The event also offered a training opportunity in ICT Accessibility.
