ITU Annual Regional Forum on Internet of Things, Smart Cities and Big Data for Arab Region, Kuwait City-Kuwait, 17 December 2018

At the kind invitation of Kuwait Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA), the ITU Annual Regional Forum on Internet of Things, Smart Cities and Big Data for Arab Region will be held on 17 December. This event will coincide with a series of ITU events planned in Kuwait from 17 to 20 December 2018 as indicated in the side bar.

These events are targeting the specialists in the field of ICTs, IoT, Smart Cities, Big Data, environment and climate change, telecommunication/ICT policy and economic issues and tariff and accounting matters from Arab region, ITU Member States, ICT regulatory agencies, municipalities, environmental ministries, standardization bodies, policy makers, private sector and national and international agencies working on ICTs related issues.

In implementation of the fourth ITU Arab Regional Initiative on IoT, Smart Cities and Big Data, the ITU Arab Regional Office will be organizing the annual forum on Internet of Things, Smart Cities and Big Data to promote the establishment of enabling environments for these emerging technologies to flourish. In addition, the forum will be aiming to identify regional challenges that should be addressed by stakeholders in the region as well as highlight regional opportunities that can be seized, particularly ones that may lead to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
