The Arab Regional Office of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is supporting the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Technology (MPTT) and the Nairobi Office of the World Bank Group (WBG) in organizing a national workshop on Numbering Planning and Policies for Somali's ICT stakeholders. The workshop will take place in Nairobi, Kenya on 8-9 November 2017, at the country office of the World Bank, on Menegai Road, Upperhill Road, Nairobi, Kenya, in Room 1105, starting at 0930.
The workshop will provide participants an opportunity to discuss the Somali's national numbering plan and framework for the planning and management of telephone numbers. A draft of the plan and framework are being developed by ITU and WB on behalf of the MPTT. You may have already been approached by the consultants to get information and comments.
The workshop is targeted at CTOs, operators and ICT service providers concerned with telecoms numbering and policy makers at the MPTT.
The participants will be able to:
- Consider the contents of the draft framework.
- Contribute to the recommendations.
- Discuss with other stakeholders dealing with numbering.
- Work together to move the sector forward.
