launch event of the Arab Regional Initiative (RI) on “Use of telecommunications/ICTs for smart and sustainable development and and protection of the environment”, Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain on 6th of May,2015 at (5-6:30 PM)

 
This event is to launch the regional Initiative on "Use of telecommunications/ICTs for smart and sustainable development and protection of the environment". The meeting will be organized in collaboration with ESCWA and will take place in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain on 6th of May,2015 at (4-6pm).

The meeting will be organized at the sidelines of the Arab Sustainable Development Forum (ASDF) that will be during 5-7 May,2015.

The meeting is targeting all stakeholders working in the Sustainable Development related matters and will focus on the best ways and practices to implement the regional Initiative on "Use of telecommunications/ICTs for smart and sustainable development and protection of the environment".

The following issues will be the main pillars for discussions:

  • The process of regional Initiative implementation and this includes sharing the players experiences and practices,
  • The 3-years budget of the regional Initiative (the kind and in-kind contribution expected from stakeholders);
  • Challenges to be addressed, concerns and issues around the RI (the lessons learnt from stakeholders);
  • Inputs from stakeholders to the baseline/operational plans of 2015-2017 (the work to be delivered to meet the expected results of the regional initiative).
