The Network of Women (NoW4WTDC) encourages gender balance in the activities leading up to the World Telecommunication Development Conference, WTDC. In order to encourage the active participation of women in ITU-D events and promote their equal participation in ITU, there will be six fireside discussions launched, where women delegates will have the chance to get inspiration from ITU’s work, know the processes and learn from other delegates as well as role models. The previous three fireside discussions were successfully hosted by Europe region, Arabic states and African regions respectively since October 2021. This is the fourth fireside discussion organized by the Network of Women (NoW4WTDC) for Americas Region that aims to share ITU’s female delegates expertise and challenges when they are involved in international negotiations, specially at WTDC, thus inspire more women delegates to engage in dynamics ITU works and processes.
