El Salvador was the first country where the Digital Transformation Kit was used. It should be considered a pilot.
The focus of the pilot were micro or small companies that are part of project or projects of other UN Agencies, Funds and Programs. The digital inclusion approach, and the inclusion of women, was considered in the pilot. The Resident Coordinator Office promoted this inter-agency initiative, and UN Women collaborated in its implementation.
A survey was designed and administered to validate the possible the content of the toolkit.
We were gladly surprised by the very warm welcome to the kit and the online webinar.
The webinar was verified on December 8 and 9, 2022. Some registered participants asked about future webinar opportunities as they missed some of the webinar.
The recommendations out of the experience in the pilot in El Salvador are presented under "lessons learned". Likewise, the identified resources can be found here.
There is a big opportunity to contribute to reduce the usage gap with people already enjoying some level of connectivity and make progress towards universal meaningful connectivity.
