ITU is organizing an event at the 17th Internet Governance Forum (IGF) that will be held at CR3, UN Conference Centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 28 November 2022. The event will also be available virtually.

The event entitled ‘Best practices and recommendations for digital inclusion through resilient infrastructure” features outcomes from fifteen research teams, that were the winners of Connect2Recover’s research competition launched in July 2021. The fifteen research reports focus on digital inclusion (in the areas of education, healthcare, jobs and employment, and affecting vulnerable groups) and the importance of digital resiliency, building from lessons learned from COVID-19. The rich diversity of research and case studies from 17 countries in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Americas and Arab States, would enrich and bring invaluable insight to IGF’s overarching theme of Resilient Internet for a shared sustainable and common future.

In addition, we are also pleased to invite you to visit the ITU's booth at the IGF from 28 November to 2 December 2022.

We appreciate your participation by completing the registration form before 28 October 2022 and return to connect2recover@itu.int.  Mr. Sameer Sharma who is responsible for Connect2Recover (email: sameer.sharma@itu.int) and Mr. Emmanuel Niyikora from the ITU Regional Office for Africa (email: emmanuel.niyikora@itu.int) are at your disposal for any enquiries.
