This webinar was organized in the context of the
International Telecommunication Union (ITU) - Government of Colombia project, International Exchange Initiative on Regulating E-waste and Engaging Tech Companies. This project provides a platform for sharing of best practices and lessons learned for participating ITU Member States to grow their knowledge and to increase their experience in developing and implementing e-waste regulations. The project revolved around three study tours, bringing together representatives from six participating countries (Colombia, Dominican Republic, India, Malaysia, Nigeria, and South Africa) and subject matter experts. The series of public post-study tour webinars consolidated the insights gained and allowed other ITU Member States and experts to join the conversation on best practices for e-waste management.
This webinar was the third and last of the series and highlighted insights from the
South Africa study tour that took place on 20-24 April 2026, focusing on international collaboration and best practices in e-waste management.
