The International Labour Organization (ILO) and International Telecommunication Union (ITU) - in support of the African Union (AU) and under the umbrella of the Global Initiative on Decent Jobs for Youth - are implementing a programme to empower African youth, ensuring they benefit from new opportunities in the digital economy and steer it forward with their energy and creativity.

Gran Checo Project in the Americas


The Youth Digital Inclusion project led by the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau, in partnership with the local Gran Chaco Foundation, was developed to promote ICT capacity development activities for young people from local communities in the Gran Chaco region. Over 300 individuals from local communities in Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay received digital and soft skills training in the scope of this project.
