ITU to hold Network Security Workshops
Geneva, 1 May 2002 – Network security has become essential to the global
information society, as our economic dependency upon information and communication technology has grown. However,
computer networks have also become increasingly vulnerable to forms of attack, ranging from simple viruses to
sophisticated cyber terrorism. Two ITU workshops, to be held in the Republic of Korea in May, focus on this timely
topic.
